Editor's review
This software can create a soft focus effect on photographs.
Softener is a Photoshop plug-in. This can help create a soft focus effect on photographs. It is the kind of soft focus one sees on romantic portraits. Wedding photos and magazine covers also have them at times. Regular well taken photographs can be converted into the soft look. This plug-in then will help skin in portraits look smoother, smoothen the sharp edges in digital photos and help give the images a soft and warm glow. The preview player is quite easy to use and very handy. As you apply the effects with the individual sliders you can see the effect on the preview image and decide what amount of softening you need. This has a simple and easy to use interface. It is intuitive enough that most users should get familiar with it quite easily. Getting productive with it should not take much time.
Main part of the display is the image preview. On the right, two controls are for softness and strength. Either can be varied over 0 to 100% by the sliders provided. You can access the presets. Presets can be customized and saved for reuse. These are also through buttons and a single click. The progress bar tells you when the effect is completely applied. You then look at the result and decide if you like it, or else change the settings. When satisfied, the image can be saved. This is a very good product. If you are looking for a similar solution, you should try it in your exact workflow.
